From the PR’s desk
The Storms in Western Washington have left our
“fearless leader” a little busy and short on time so we are publishing his
photo in this blank space and looking forward to an article for the
February Issue.
A short introduction to your new General Secretary.
I was born in
Oakland CA. in 1941 and attended schools in El Cerrito, CA.
In my second year of collage, I enlisted in the USAF and served from 1960
thru 1964. After my discharge, I completed my education and opened my own
engineering firm.
I was raised
to the degree of Master Mason on 15 November 1975 in the hall of Texas
Lodge #46, San Juan Bautista, CA.
I served as Master of that Lodge in 1983 and 1989.

I moved to Santa Rosa in 1988, and affiliated
with Santa Rosa Lodge #57, serving as their Secretary from 1992 to 1996
when I resigned to accept an appointment as Inspector of the 132nd Masonic
District of the Grand Lodge of California, a position that I continued to
serve till 2005.
I joined the
Scottish Rite in the Valley
of Santa Rosa in
1993, and was proud to be immediately put to work in the conferral of the
Scottish Rite ritual. I accepted the position of Director of Ritual in
1997.
I was honored
with the Valley Pyramid Award for service to the Valley in 1996.
I have served
as Venerable Master, Commander of Kadosh, Wise Master. and Commander of the
Consistory.
I was greatly
honored to be selected as a Knight Commander of the Court of Honor in 1997,
in San Francisco, and to my total amazement,
I was elected and traveled to Charleston,
S.C. to attend the
Bicentennial Celebration of the Scottish Rite, where I was coroneted with
the title and honors of a Thirty Third Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
I have been
married to the Angel of my life, Barbara, for 37 years, and we have two
sons of whom we are very, very proud. Andrew, our oldest, graduated in 2001
from Harvey Mudd Collage and Jonathan our youngest, is currently finishing
his studies in Machine Tool Technology at U.C Berkley.
I chose to retire
in January 2006 and moved to Ferndale,
WA in June to be near my
Mother and older Sister.
I am pleased
and honored to have been chosen to serve my new Valley as your General
Secretary, and hope to do a credible job for you in that capacity.
